M.A. in Evangelism and Leadership Program Options

M.A. in Evangelism and Leadership Programs

The M.A. in Evangelism and Leadership can be completed in several formats in order to meet the diverse needs of our students.

Residential

Students will begin in September and take 12 credits each semester for three semesters, Fall, Spring, Summer, and then the following Fall. Although most of the courses will be intensive, to facilitate this pace some courses may be a full semester long.

Wheaton College undergraduate students can earn a B.A. and M.A. in five years by taking graduate credit courses during their senior year (students may take up to sixteen hours during senior year). Students also take four credits of electives in the summer after their senior year, if possible. An application should be submitted to the Graduate Admissions Office prior to earning ninety undergraduate credit hours.

Flexible Learning Programs

Most students complete the program by coming to campus three weeks a year, usually once a semester (Fall, Spring, and Summer). There is advance work to complete before arriving on campus for that week, and a project to finish after leaving.

At this pace, the M.A. can be completed in as little as 3 years but students have up to 5 years to complete the degree. Students can work with an adviser to plan out their 40 credit hour program.

A cohort is simply a group of people brought together for a common purpose. In a cohort model, students stay together as a group throughout the program. The goal of a cohort is for you to build lasting relationships with a learning community that stays together for the entire length of the program.

The cohort model means that your fellow students will be taking each course with you, allowing you to develop deep life relationships with others who are hungry to expand their biblical knowledge for Christ and His Kingdom.
