M.A . in Evangelism and Leadership Learning Outcomes

As a result of completing the M.A. in Evangelism and Leadership program at Wheaton College, students will achieve the following learning outcomes:

  1. Employ cultural and biblical hermeneutics to interpret the world around them by exegeting cultural artifacts, documents, and groups.
  2. Employ cultural and biblical hermeneutics to interpret the world around them by using sound research methodology to answer questions.
  3. Articulate the robust, holistic nature of the Gospel by sharing a simple, but theologically and historically informed summary of the gospel with unchurched people.
  4. Clearly communicate the Gospel in a variety of settings by sharing their faith using stories, gospel illustrations, and cultural references.
  5. Clearly communicate the Gospel in a variety of settings by articulating the plausibility of the Christian faith in various cultures and contexts.
  6. Create evangelism initiatives that are appropriately contextualized by developing and assessing Contextualized ministry plans.
  7. Create evangelism initiatives that are appropriately contextualized by sharing Jesus through a contextualized gospel illustration.
  8. Lead themselves by assessing their personal development and indicating strategies for growth.
  9. Lead others by developing viable plans to lead organizations successfully through change.
