James E. Burr Scholarship
Established in 1987, the Burr Scholarship was named for James E. Burr, an abolitionist buried on the grounds of Wheaton College. The Burr Scholarships are 4-year renewable awards of $2,000 - $4,000 for students who demonstrate servant-leadership qualities and would contribute to building a healthy, diverse, and unified community at Wheaton College. All applicants to Wheaton College are considered holistically for this scholarship on the basis of their application for admission, primarily their Christ-Centered Diversity Reflection. Special considerations may be given for academic achievements, race and/or ethnicity, and financial need. The scholarship is competitive and limited to 40 incoming new students each year.
Alvaro L. Nieves Scholarship
The Nieves Scholarship was named after Dr. Alvaro Nieves, Professor Emeritus of Sociology, for his long-term service to Wheaton College and his commitment to the Latino community. Established in 2012, the Nieves Scholarship provides 2 full ride awards for Latina/o students annually. The Nieves Scholarships are 4-year renewable awards that cover the full cost of tuition, room, and board. Recipients are selected on the basis of academic standing and scholarship essays from their Scholarship Application.
Don and Ann Church Scholarship
Established in 1998 and funded by an anonymous donor, this scholarship was named for Professor Emeritus Don Church and his wife Ann because of their lifelong dedication to urban ministry. The Church Scholarship provides 6 full tuition awards for African American students annually. The Church Scholarships are 4-year renewable awards that cover the full cost of tuition. Recipients are selected on the basis of academic standing and scholarship essays from their Scholarship Application.
BRIDGE Alumni Scholarship
The BRIDGE Program is Wheaton College's pre-college program for Chicago high school sophomores and juniors to promote college access among underrepresented, first-generation, and low-income students. Each year, select BRIDGE alumni admitted to Wheaton College may receive one of 7 full tuition awards. The BRIDGE Alumni Scholarships are 4-year renewable awards that cover the full cost of tuition. Recipients are selected from among BRIDGE graduates admitted to Wheaton on the basis of program participation, academic standing and scholarship essays from their Scholarship Application.

- First complete and submit an application for admission to Wheaton College.
- Begin your Scholarship Application.
- Complete and submit your scholarship application by November 26 (for Early Action I and II first-year applicants) and February 25 (for Regular Decision I and II first-year applicants and fall transfer applicants.
