Attend Parent Events!
Although events this fall will be online, we hope you will join us! We want to stay connected with you.
Online Parent Orientation 2020
The College is planning for a safe opening for every student in August for our on-campus student orientation and classes, but like all schools, the College is preparing for any and all contingencies.
Parent Orientation will be online this fall. There will be no Parent Orientation events on campus other than Student Drop Off. Learn more about Online Parent Orientation and Student Drop Off.
Homecoming Weekend 2020
Due to ongoing concerns surrounding COVID-19, as well as Illinois state restrictions on gathering, we have pivoted to a completely online format for Homecoming 2020 on October 3.
See the full announcement from Cindra Stackhouse Taetzsch ’82 about online Homecoming, and check out the online Homecoming FAQ page for the latest information.
Family Weekend 2020
Due to the ongoing pandemic, and restrictions around public gatherings, there will be no on-campus Family Weekend events this fall. We'll be working to connect parents to campus life in creative ways throughout the fall semester.
On Sunday, May 10, 2020 the College hosted "Celebrating the Class of 2020," a short online undergraduate gathering that offered spiritual encouragement and honored graduates for earning their degrees. View "Celebrating the Class of 2020."
The College also still plans to hold an on-campus commencement sometime in the upcoming academic year, with a livestream for those who are unable to attend in person. While it is premature to choose dates now, the College will provide more definitive plans following the lifting of "shelter in place" and widespread travel restrictions.
