The Adult ESL Teacher will teach at least one class a week at Chicago Welcome Center. Classes take place from 10-11:30 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings plus private tutoring (as possible). Teachers are responsible for planning their lessons, keeping track of their lessons and attendance, communicating with other teachers of the same class about class progress, and communicating any student needs and prayer requests that arise to the Operations Manager.
ESL Teachers will receive specific instruction from, and report to the ESL Director. ESL teachers should demonstrate strong people skills and have multi-cultural experience, and lots of patience and grace for dealing with people struggling with our difficult language!
