Sarah Carrell M.A. '17 shares her experience at Wheaton and how it prepared her for her calling.
How did you hear about Wheaton Grad School?
I heard about Wheaton College Grad School from my undergraduate advisor who is a Wheaton alum. During my senior year, I met with her several times to discuss the graduate application process. She was more than a huge help, she was one of my references for my application! She only has great things to say about Wheaton. She highlighted that it is a prestigious program that prepared her well for being a practitioner.
Why did you choose Wheaton?
I was motivated to go into counseling because of my faith. I want to fully understand people, including their faith, in order to accomplish holistic healing. Also, I wanted to grow spiritually as well as intellectually. I acknowledged that if I could find a Christian program that was academically rigorous then I could have the "best of both worlds", hence I chose Wheaton.
