As a result of completing the M.A. in Biblical Exegesis program at Wheaton College, students will achieve the following learning outcomes:
- Develop knowledge of the mechanics of language in Hebrew and/or Greek that is sufficient foundation for a lifetime of exegetical work in the original language.
- A grasp of how hermeneutical informs one’s approach to biblical interpretation.
- Employ a multi-faceted set of skills in the exegesis of biblical texts.
- Develop insight into major themes of biblical theology and utilize them in the interpretation of specific passages.
- Develop an understanding of the methods of systematic theology and major topics, doctrines, and ethics within biblical revelation.
- Engage diverse ethnic, gender, and majority world perspectives on biblical interpretation.
