Led by Dr. Mark DeYmaz, this unique concentration equips ministry leaders to navigate the seismic shifts shaping the future of the American Church. With a focus on building healthy multiethnic congregations, creating innovative and sustainable economic models (Church Economics), and increasing cultural intelligence (CQ®), students will explore practical frameworks and cutting-edge strategies to lead faithfully and effectively in dynamic ministry contexts. This cohort is ideal for pastors, planters, network leaders, and change agents who desire to align biblical theology with 21st-century realities. Begins January 2027.

Mark planted the Mosaic Church of Central Arkansas in 2001, a multi-ethnic and economically diverse church in the urban center of Little Rock where he remains the directional leader. In 2004, he co-founded the Mosaix Global Network and continues to serve as CEO and convene its triennial national conference in Dallas, TX. Concentration Courses

Course 1—Church Economics

If churches and nonprofits want to not only survive but thrive in the future, leaders must learn to leverage assets, bless the community, empower entrepreneurs, and create multiple streams of income to effectively fund mission. In this course, students will learn proven, practical insights to help local church pastors and ministry leaders rethink sustainability and apply forgotten methods of stewardship to maximize kingdom impact.

  • This course will meet at Mosaic Church in Little Rock, Arkansas for onsite learning at a leading multiethnic church.

Course 2—Leading a Healthy Multiethnic Church

Building a healthy multiethnic church is a path for living out God's call to be one church for the sake of the gospel. This course will provide a roadmap for creating ministries that embrace and celebrate all people. It will provide the theological foundation for multiethnic churches and outline seven core commitments required for multiethnic churches.

Course 3–Cultural Intelligence

Through this course students will learn to critically evaluate the theological, sociological, and organizational dynamics that shape cultural engagement within Christian ministry contexts. Students will also integrate biblical and theological frameworks with the Cultural Intelligence (CQ®) model to inform faithful and effective ministry in diverse settings.
