Follett Higher Education Group will manage the Wheaton College Campus Bookstore. Follett’s management will bring new products, savings and support for students, staff, faculty and alumni.
Effective immediately, local company Follett Higher Education Group will manage the Wheaton College Campus Bookstore.
Under the new management, merchandise will continue to align with the Wheaton College mission. The bookstore will sell Bibles, faculty publications, “Tor” stuffed animals, Wheaton gear, and an array of convenience store-type items. Customers will also appreciate new products, which reflect local interests as well as national trends in supplies, technology, clothing, gifts and more. These can be searched and purchased in-store and online through eFollett.com.
Follett offers a text-rental program, in which students can rent textbooks, saving them up to 80 percent when compared with the cost of purchasing new textbooks. Follett also brings an array of digital learning technologies that will enable students to access needed materials on a 24-7 basis.
“After many years of serving faculty, staff, students and alumni very well with our retail operation, the market has shifted,” said Wheaton College Chief Information & Campus Services Officer Wendy Woodward. “Increasingly, people are ordering their books and services online, and the time has come for the College to partner with an experienced retail organization that is better positioned to address the needs of the future.”
