Meet Dr. Philemon Bantimaroudis, Wheaton's newest visiting professor of communication.
Name: Philemon Bantimaroudis
Education:
- B.A. English, University of Tennessee, Chattanooga
- M.A. Communication, University of Florida, Gainesville

Philosophy of Education:
I try to show the complexity of our world and make students think, while helping them become passionate about their mission and calling.
Before Wheaton, I was:
Teaching at the University of the Aegean (Greece) for 17 years.
Right now I'm working on:
Examining how the media set agendas that influence what we know, understand, and believe about the world.
A single big question I'm trying to answer:
How can we distinguish between credible and less credible information in social media settings?
Last book I read for fun:
"Seven Days That Divide the World" by John Lennox
Four people I'd like to take to coffee:
- John Lennox
- D.A. Carson
- Tim Keller
- R.C. Sproul
