According to USA Today, about 83% of adults drink coffee in the U.S., which is the world's biggest consumer of the beverage. A single cup of coffee contains your nutrition for the day, including Vitamin B2 --11% of the RDA, Vitamin B5 --6% of the RDA, Manganese and Potassium, and B3. As you journey down to HoneyRock this summer, we are excited to announce our new cafe, located in one of everyone's favorite gathering places ... the Beehive.
For coffee lovers, this will be your go-to place at HoneyRock where you can rest from your outdoor adventures, engage with other HoneyRockers and experience different tastes of coffee. It’s a time to have your favorite coffee in hand whether it is a cup of cappuccino or a shot of espresso, while taking in the beauty and serenity of HoneyRock.
Our Hospitality Manager, Dell Ledbetter, had a vision of opening the café at HoneyRock as a place for students, parents, staff and visitors to experience the community that coffee brings. Molly Shore, a graduate student and the Guest Services Coordinator, has been busy honing her barista skills in preparation of the grand opening. To get the café started, Dell and his team purchased a new espresso machine, freshly roasted coffees and all the flavors needed to create everything from shots of espresso to our signature drink - the Chrouser Caramel Extravaganza!
Our café has yet to be officially named so your suggestions are welcome. We'll continue to expand our offerings to include more specialty drinks and snacks later this summer.
Novelist Gertrude Stein once said, “Coffee is a lot more than just a drink; it’s something happening. It gives you time, but not actual hours or minutes, but a chance to be, like be yourself, and have a second cup.” Share your love for coffee ... stop by the café at HoneyRock!
