Wheaton provides students with the option of summer storage.
Depending on your current housing location, please reference the following storage and closing guidelines:
As you prepare for your time away from campus, we want you to be aware that long-term storage is available for you to use. Please do not store your belongings in your current housing location but instead follow the instructions below.
Please note:
- NO furniture may be stored.
- All items must be placed on the plastic pallets located in the storage room.
- You may store a maximum of 4 boxes.
- All boxes must be clearly marked with your name and mailing address. In the event that you do not return to Wheaton, we need to be able to mail items.
- You must you use plastic containers or secure in waterproof packing for all of your items. This will help protect your belongings against possible water damage.
- You may store bikes in the Michigan basement on one of the bike racks. Please label the bike with your name, home address and fall 2023, indicating the semester you will be away.
- HNGR STUDENTS – please contact the HNGR office with specific questions.
STORE AT YOUR OWN RISK: The College is not responsible for loss or damage of any items.
You will not be able to get things out of storage until housing opens in January 2024. Access this week will be during specific dates and times. If you have items that you will need prior to the start of school in January, do not store them here!

Students living off-campus will need to:
Show their negative COVID test result at a check-in location and show they have completed the COVID-SAFE, Thunder-Strong – Required Orientation Course on Schoology using their phone or laptop
Receive an orange wristband, which will show they are allowed to enter campus housing
Once a student has their ID they may contact a friend already living in campus housing and arrange access to storage
If assistance is needed, call the Apartment and House On-duty number for access to storage during one of the check-in times below (630.384.9472).

For students living on-campus you may access storage at the following times. Students living on campus who have items stored in residence halls can get their items out of storage during the Unstorage times below. Students who stored belongings in the apartments and are living on campus can get their items 24/7. Your Wheaton ID will provide access to the exterior of campus apartments. All students must wear an orange wristband in order to enter campus housing.

- No student will be allowed on a floor without an orange COVID-strong bracelet.
Furniture stored at the end of A Quad was stored at East Campus.
Directions
When you arrive to East Campus (1825 College Ave), come to the side door on the west side of the building. The door will be propped open for you to come in and get your couch.
