The Billy Graham Scholarship Program is honored to be named for Dr. William Franklin Graham, Jr. (Billy Graham), November 7, 1918 - February 21, 2018, whose passing we mourn and whose legacy we honor.
The Billy Graham Scholarship Program (BGSP) began in 1975 as one of the ministries of the Wheaton College Billy Graham Center (WCBGC) which "combines research and study in evangelism and world mission with scholarly excellence for service to the church and society."
Worldwide evangelism and missions continues through the over 1000 Billy Graham scholars who have been trained at Wheaton College Graduate School and will extend as more scholars graduate every year to impact the world “for Christ and His Kingdom”
Even before the Billy Graham Hall was completed on Wheaton College's campus, scholarships were awarded to equip key leaders for significant ministry opportunities in order to strengthen the Church of Jesus Christ worldwide. Two key missions-minded businessmen began endowed funds that have fueled the scholarships for over 1000 Christian leaders to date.
We are thankful for their vision.
For the majority, the dream of an advanced degree leading to a more effective ministry would not have been possible without this financial assistance.
More than just a scholarship, the Billy Graham Scholarship Program strives to be a ministry partner, assisting Christian ministry leaders in obtaining their masters degree at the Wheaton College Graduate School. We are dedicated to advancing the global Christian community by providing opportunities for different types of Christian leaders from around the world to earn advanced training to enhance the ministry into which God has called them.
It is our hope that one of our awards can help increase your effectiveness for the Lord with advanced education from Wheaton College Graduate School.
The Mission of the Billy Graham Scholarship Program is to provide funding to key Christian leaders from all across the globe to attend Wheaton College in order to obtain a higher level of education and training to better serve in the ministry to which God has called them.
The WCBGC is committed to developing and mobilizing Jesus-followers to share their faith winsomely and wisely. We do this by training and resourcing leaders and lay Christians to develop a lifestyle of evangelism.
