The TESOL Flex/Online Format is a flexible or completely online learning program for completing an M.A. in TESOL and Intercultural Studies.
The TESOL Flex Format can be completed entirely online, or through a combination of online and/or short, on-campus intensives. The combined flexible program allows students to take TESOL coursework on campus in August along with online courses during the fall and spring semesters.
Course Information
The TESOL Flex or fully online options mean students may choose to complete the required 36-credit hours through a flexible combination of online and residential courses or through fully online courses. All students are assigned to a faculty Academic Advisor who can assist them with planning out their course schedules.
Students who choose a flexible combination typically spend a week on campus in the summer. Formats for summer courses are varied, including both a layered format and one-week intensives focusing on a single course. For information on summer courses, please review the summer session information. Some students may also choose to live in Wheaton one semester or year and take courses in the residential format and then shift to complete the degree online. The flexible option is set up with global workers and those with full time jobs in mind, so the degree can be tailored to meet those needs.
