Dr. Alan Seaman
Professor of TESOL, Director of TESOL and Intercultural Studies Programs
Dr. Alan Seaman was a featured speaker at the national conference sponsored by Asobed Colegios Cristianos in Bogota, Colombia during the first two weeks of March 2020. In addition to speaking at the conference, he presented an all-day pre-conference workshop for Colombian English teachers, and he visited several bilingual schools to observe classes and collect research data.
In January and February 2020, Dr. Seaman taught two graduate courses in Chiang Mai, Thailand and was a featured speaker at an international education conference, making a presentation on “English as a Lingua Franca and Assessment.” He also visited former students who are teaching in Tokyo, Japan, including Junko Harada, English Department Char at Tamagawa Seigakuin, a large secondary girls’ school, and Rebecca Babirye an English professor at Tokyo Christian University.
