School of Biblical and Theological Studies
Promoting the development of academic skills necessary for advanced study and service in the church and society worldwide by fostering student formation in biblical and theological knowledge, academic skills and critical reflection, and Christian life.
The School of Biblical and Theological Studies at Wheaton College was formed in 2018. As a student in the school, you will join a community of academic peers committed to scholarship, research, and leadership development in Biblical and Theological Studies. Together, the faculty and students collaborate to effectively serve Jesus Christ and advance His Kingdom through excellence in liberal arts and graduate programs that educate the whole person to build the church and benefit society worldwide.
Our Programs
From the B.A. in Biblical Archaeology, to the M.A. in Biblical Exegesis, to the Ph.D. in Biblical and Theological Studies, our eight degree programs offer the theoretical as well practical tools for students to grow as leaders in the fields of Biblical and Theological Studies.

In select summers, Wheaton students learn alongside professors and other archaeologists as they join the Tel Shimron Excavation program.
