Honor Band 2024

High School students are invited to attend Voice Day at Wheaton College.
The day will be broken down into two sessions: SSAA Morning (8:30am-12:00pm) & TTBB (12:30pm-4:00pm). High School singers will rehearse two pieces combined with the Wheaton College Women’s Chorale (AM) or Men’s Glee Club (PM), Jerry Blackstone, conductor. Each session culminates with the massed SSAA or TTBB choir singing the two pieces, the respective Wheaton College ensemble singing two pieces, and a solo performance of a singer from Wheaton College.

Application and Audition Deadline: December 1st, 2023.

Students will be asked questions about their musical experiences and will be asked to upload an audition video link. Please ensure the video link access is set to public. Your audition video will only be viewed by the judges. Any links that are unable to be accessed will be discarded. See audition excerpts below. 

The participants selected for the Honor Band will receive an email with information about how to submit the official registration form and payment for the event. The $45 registration fee must be paid upon acceptance into the Honor Band, and this fee covers the cost of sheet music, meals throughout the event, and a 2024 Honor Band t-shirt. 

Lodging
Lodging is not included as part of the event. However, if you should need lodging, please check the Wheaton College Travel Portal for recommended hotels and the college rate.
