The Christian Alliance for Inclusive Development - Belonging Conference 2024

Our partner, the Christian Alliance for Inclusive Development is hosting the Belonging Conference June 13-15, 2024, in St Davids, Pennsylvania. Find out more here. Please join us! The Christian Alliance for Inclusive Development exists to support and promote women serving in Christian global development, and together with men, advocate for gender equality in the sector. Through advocacy and equipping The Alliance advances diversity in leadership improving our impact to fight global poverty and oppression.

 

Some Past Events of Interest 

CBE Annual (Virtual) Conference, August 2021

Network participant Christians for Biblical Equality (CBE) hosted a virtual conference on "Men, Women, and God: Theology and Its Impact," with a central focus on centering women's equality in Christian NGO work.  The conference  featured a number of network participants as speakers.  

Accord Forum, October 2019

Dr. Amy Reynolds (alongside Eeva Sallinen Simard of BE Development Partners) presented the first version of the Principles for Gender Equality in Development to the Accord Forum in North Carolina (an umbrella group of Christ-centered relief and development organizations). Information on the Forum 

Gender, Development and Christianity Consortiums

The first meeting of the Gender, Development and Christianity Network met at Wheaton College, co-hosted with World Relief and Imago Dei Fund in January 2018. To date, we have had five meetings of the consortium, the latest being held in May 2023. The Principles for Gender Equality in Development Organizations are a product of these meetings, which have brought together representatives from 20 different Christian organizations engaged in development work.
