Wheaton College serves Jesus Christ and advances His Kingdom through excellence in liberal arts and graduate programs that educate the whole person to build the church and benefit society worldwide.
Whole person education occurs in the classroom, chapel worship, living on campus, student group engagement, as well as in caring for one another.
The Student Development division offers opportunities to apply classroom knowledge in serving others, fostering friendships, and being supported.
Students are encouraged to choose one area of engagement at a time so they can prioritize their primary calling to Christian formation through classroom learning. Students are also encouraged to participate in worship in a local church.
The Student Development staff that work in Athletics, Equity and Title IX, Residence Life, Student Engagement, and Student Wellness are excited for you to experience the diverse array of opportunities to learn outside the classroom. We are honored to challenge, support, and influence each student’s whole person Christian character formation within and through a beloved educational community of members who distinctly bear God’s image and are unified in Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit.
In anticipation,
Dr. Paul Chelsen
Vice President for Student Development
