The Armerding Concert Hall, located at the west end of the Armerding Center for Music and the Arts, features some of the finest acoustics in the Chicago area. The brand new, state-of-the-art hall offers theater-style seating for 648 people. The venue utilizes a horseshoe auditorium style with a balcony offering a classic theater feel. Other highlights include offices for the Community School of the Arts, a dance studio for student dance group Zoe’s Feet, a grand lobby, and of course, the endowed seats, with many of the auditorium seats commemorating family and friends of the Wheaton community. Learn how you can endow a seat.
The Concert Hall also includes a new 3-manual, 38-stop pipe organ, built by Taylor & Boody Organbuilders of Staunton, Virginia. This organ is used to accompany choirs and instrumental musicians, as well as to train students. But its main purpose is to lead and accompany congregational hymn singing.
