The Women's Chorale, now directed by Dr. Jerry Blackstone, maintains a busy concert schedule on the Wheaton College campus and beyond, singing for enthusiastic audiences around the United States, Europe, and the British Isles. The public concert experiences are undergirded by a rigorous rehearsal schedule and social activities which strengthen the bonds of friendship and fellowship in Jesus Christ. In addition to ministry in churches around the nation and campus appearances, the Women's Chorale has performed at both regional and national conventions of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). Listeners far and wide have praised the ensemble for its superb music-making and Christian witness.

Rehearsals are twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesday's from 4:30 - 6:00 pm.

Two concerts per semester, including dress rehearsals. Fall semester includes all Christmas Festival performances and dress rehearsals.

There is no fee to participate in Women's Chorale except for the purchase of concert dress and attire. Tour years may present additional costs, but there are often scholarships and fundraising opportunities available. If cost is a concern, talk with Dr. Hopper about sponsorship and scholarship opportunities.

Women's Chorale seeks to build strong friendships and a sense of community within the choir. To foster this sense of community the Chorale’s leadership cabinet, comprised of elected choir members, plans several fun extra-choral events. These events include a Fall Tea party, a Christmas party, and a Spring Banquet.

The Women's Chorale is open to all undergraduate women at Wheaton, and there is no music major or minor requirement to participate. Auditions will take place during the first week of school. Come prepared with a song that shows off your voice and a prepared solo, hymn, or favorite song.

I love being a member of Chorale because it’s a place where I can glorify God through songs alongside other women of faith. — Victoria '17

“Women’s Chorale has been such an integral part of my Wheaton experience over the past three years. I love singing and performing with this ensemble because this all-girls choir feels like a family to me.”- Abby ’18

“As a math major, I am seldom a part of a majority-female setting. Women’s Chorale has provided me with the opportunity to build relationships with like-minded women, and these friendships have been some of the greatest blessings of my Wheaton experience.” - Tabitha ’19

“My favorite thing about Chorale is that it’s a designated time twice a week where I take a break from homework and stress and focus on worshipping God.” - Rebecca ’20
