Diane Chou, M.M., B.M.Suzuki Cello, Piano

Diane Chou is a cellist and pianist who frequently performs and teaches in the Chicago area. She received her BM from Wheaton College and her MM from CCPA at Roosevelt University and was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. Her principal teachers include Richard Hirschl, Dr. Tanya Carey, Dr. Karin Edwards, and Marilyn Andersen. She served as principal cellist in both the CCPA and Wheaton College Symphonies and was a winner of the Wheaton College Chamber Competition in 2012.
As a pianist, she has performed and accompanied for numerous recitals and competitions. During her summers, she has attended many music festivals including the Castleman Quartet Program, Domaine Forget, and the Meadowmount School of Music. She also enjoys playing and serving at her church.
In addition to performing, Diane currently maintains a large studio of piano and cello students at the Community School of the Arts at Wheaton College. Her students have performed in numerous recitals and participate in the National Piano Guild Auditions and in their respective school orchestras and state orchestra festivals.
Diane is extremely grateful for her God-given passion for teaching and performing. She is committed to using her musical gifts to inspire others and also develop students who are disciplined, possess a love for music, and strive for a high standard of playing. She aims to pass on the amazing gift of music which her wonderful teachers have nurtured within her.
