SGI Inaugural CE Training Event

June 12-13, 2020  9:00am-4:30pm  Blanchard Hall 339, Wheaton College

Two-day CE event on client-centered, identity-focused approaches to navigating sexual or gender identity and religious identity conflicts.

Join us for a two-day inaugural SGI training event: an informed, respectful, and nuanced training in exploring sexual or gender identity and religous identity conflicts that has as its goal to help clients navigate the difficult conflict between who they are in terms of their sexual or gender identity and their religious faith. Sexual Identity Therapy (SIT; Yarhouse, 2019) and gender and relious identity exploration are client-centered, identity-focused approaches to navigating conflicts between sexual or gender identity and religious identity. Christians who struggle with a conflict between their sexual or gender identity and religious identity have few therapeutic options available to them.

Hosted by the SGI Institute, Wheaton College School of Psychology, Counseling, & Family Therapy
